I hope that fall never ends

With the weather being so nice, I still get to play outside almost every day. We have only had about an inch of snow in Denver this fall and November is supposed to be the 3rd snowiest month. It has been been cold and all the leaves have fallen from the trees. We have 2 really big trees in the front yard and they have a lot of leaves. Dad was getting ready to mow them up but I had other plans. So with the dogs and Mom's help and the flip video, I did the this:

Saturday the weather was still really nice, we went down and watched Daddy race cyclocross in Colorado Springs. Mommy calls it pyschocross but I always have fun. You get to play in the dirt, mud, sand and snow, if that ever happens again. Cant wait until I am old enough to do this. He did not have a good race and had to drop out because he rolled his tire off his wheel and was too far away from the pit area to get his back up wheel.

After the race, we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Mommy thought that Daddy had the video camera and Daddy thought Mommy had it but both of them left it at home, so no video's of the zoo. But we had so much fun there. The first exhibit we go to is the giraffe's. They have this HUGE platform that you walk up and then you are eye level with them. You also get to feed them. We probably spent 30 minutes just there feeding them.

We then went and saw the elephants, the bears and birds. You also get to feed the birds with these little food sticks. I like to play and chase the birds but I don't want to have them land on me. I was very unhappy with them landing on my stick, my hand and my head. Finally, Mommy picked me up and everything was good again.

We then had lunch and then walked up to see the tiger, the grizzly bears, the mountain lions and the moose. As we started down the hill, I was able to have my first horse ride. It was so much fun. The attendents were really impressed when I told her that I was not even 2 years old yet. I hung onto the horn of the saddle like I was John Wayne. I got to do 2 laps around the stables. We also saw the gorilla's, orangutans and the hippos.

Up to this point, I had not had a nap. But on the way out of the parking lot, I crashed really hard. Daddy took this picture of me on the way home. I felt so good to have my afternoon nap.

Bye for now

Hanging like a monkey

Hi everyone. Mommy found this really cool place that I have been to a bunch of times already. It is called Little Monkey Bizness and boy is it fun. I get to climb all over stuff and run around.

Daddy bought this new pocket sized video camera from Flip Video. All you do is push the red button and it starts to record. It has zoom, sound and you can edit videos and add music if you want. Mommy brought this with us last week and took a whole bunch of video's of me. Who else would she take video's of?

Hi, Hi, Hi

So that was one of the first video's that Mommy took. She kinda had the camera in my face a little bit. But it really takes cool video's huh?

The next video is me running and climbing into the house. I have so much fun at this place. Do you see the smile on my face?

I climb, I climb so far away

So a couple of days later, I got invited to a birthday party. My friend Austin turned 3 and had a party at the bowling alley. His grandma and grandpa live across the street from Grammy and Poppie. We get to play together when he is over on Fridays and weekends. So they had 2 lanes of bowling with bumpers so I always hit the pins at the other end. During the course of the day, I had a couple of spares and even had a strike, even though Dad did not tape that one.

That is a 9lb bowling ball I am carrying

We are heading down to Co Springs this weekend to watch Daddy race on Saturday. Then we are going to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. I hope we take the video camera with us. I want to really climb and hang out with the monkeys.

A halloween that I will remember

Now that I am almost 2, I will remember this halloween. Last year I was Curious George. I went around Daddy's office for trick or treating and got some cool stuff but really did not understand the whole thing. This year, I get it.

Mommy took me to get my costume and I got to try some on. Below is what I had to pick from:

So after trying them all on, I decieded that I was going to be a elephant this year. But you all need to know, this has nothing to do with the presidental election.

So after Mommy and Daddy got home, I got dressed up and we got ready to hit the streets. I have this really cool plastic pumpkin that I would carry to bring home my loot. I take off down the street and run into my first person that ask's if I would like a piece of candy. He drops a small candy bar into my pumpkin and says, "Happy Halloween". How cool is this!!! I walk down the street in a costume and people just stop and give me stuff. Let's keep going all night!

We walk to the next house and Mommy helps me up to the front door. The 2 ladies thought I was so cute, which I already know. and again they give me a couple of pieces of candy. I say "bye bye" and walk back to where Daddy is standing. The head of my costume is starting to move around and it is getting hard to see.

I wander around the neighborhood and pick up more and more loot at each house that I go to. I high five everyone that gives me something and everyone is happy.

Later in the night, we went out to Littleton and met up with Lisa and Eric and thier kids at thier church and I played in the bouncy house until they took them down around 9pm. I really need to get my own bouncy house in my backyard. If I had one of those, I would be the happiest kid in the neighborhood.

I will try to update again in a couple of days.

Bye for now.

Red Bull Soapbox derby - why are they dressed up so weird?

Hello everyone,

So there is going to be multiple updates in the coming days but here is the first one that goes back to Oct 25th.

Dad spent the day at Veloswap selling his old bike and parts and coming home with a pocket full of cash that he proceeded to give straight to Mommy. But Grammy, Poppie, Mommy and I went to the Red Bull soapbox derby up at Red Rocks. We had to park down at Bandimere Speedway and take a bus up to the races. At some point during the morning, there were almost 30,000 people trying to get up to the races and the city of Morrison had to close all roads in. People walked for miles and miles to get up to the races.

There was some really cool cars there. They picked 30 teams for a lottery of hundreds and they all had themes. Below are some of the pictures that Mommy took while we were up there. I know have a lot of new friends to hang out with.

We dont need No Stinkin Badges.....this might be the cast of Blazing Saddles???

Just checking the results at the end of the day...how did my team do?

Grammy, it is not Halloween yet....but she hung out with the fishes all afternoon

Did the chicken come before the egg? How did he get his feet to stay straight all day?

This "duck" was made completly out of duct tape....who knew they made yellow duck/duct tape?

More cowbell? I thought that was the band that played at our BBQ in Sept? Who is this guy? And why is there a cow next to me?

How is that guy going to get into such a small stagecoach? And what is he going to shooting with that gun?

This might have been the best soapbox at the race. They were all dressed up like characters from the movie Ferris Bueller's Day off. They did not sing Paul Anka's Twist and Shout though.

I will be doing another update tomorrow about Halloween.

Talk to you soon.....
