I'm Back....and do I have alot to talk about

Hi everyone...it has been a while since my last post. Now that Dad has the main computer back up and running, it is much easier than posting updates from Dad's IPhone. It is a cool device, but doing blog updates on it is not that cool.

So right before we went on our trip to Portland and Seattle, we sold the old house on Glencoe. Daddy got a call from the realtor while boarding the plane to Portland. Once we landed and found the hotel, Daddy had to get lot's of paper and we lost a day of sightseeing in Portland.
I did get to ride the train from Portland to Seattle on the Amtrak Cascades. It was great to travel for 3 hours by train. I fell asleep about half way there though and once again, I woke up in a new city. Once we had dinner at Ivars Acres of Clams and fed the seagulls, we got on the water taxi and went across Elliot Bay from downtown Seattle to West Seattle and met up with Grammy and Auntie Peggy.
Getting on the train in Portland, OR and headed to Seattle, WA
Aunt Peggy and Uncle Ted

We were there for 3 days and got to go around town and saw the Space Needle, Pikes Street Market, the original Starbucks, kissed the pig with the gold nose, the Seattle zoo and the beach a couple of times. We then drove down with Auntie Leanne, Mom, Dad and cousins JJ and Timmy.
Pike Street Public Market
The Troll under the Freemont Bridge

While in Seaside and Astoria on the coast of Oregon, we got to see the house from the movie, The Goonies, the Astoria Column, the river front trolley, the Oregon Zoo, Tillamook cheese factory, went to the beach and shot of rockets, played in the sand and ocean and went where ever Mom and Auntie Leanne took me. I had a great time while were gone for 2 weeks.

I LOVE DUMBO! I found him at the Portland zoo. Can I take him home?

Then we came home and my room was gone. Daddy had taken everything off the walls, all my books were in boxes, all my toys in bags and clothes were all loaded up in Mommy's car and we moved in with Grandma and Gramdpa over in Aurora. We were there for 6 weeks and Grandpa took care of me every day. I got to do yoga, walked the dogs and played with my trains all day. I missed Nana very much but got to see her on weekends.

Mommy and Daddy finally got the keys to the new house and they worked for 3 days getting the house ready for us to move in to. I stayed up at Grandma and Poppies house while Mom and Dad worked down there. I did get to see the house on Halloween. We went and trick or treated around the neighborhood so we could meet our new neighbors. There are alot of little girls in the neighborhood, which is good for me, if you know what I mean. Here are a couple of pics:

So once Mommy and Daddy were done, I finally got to come inside and see the new place. Here is the best part of the new house...I finally have my own bathroom and a full playroom that is all mine.

So that is it for now. I have alot of other stories and stuff to tell you about but I am tired and ready to go to bed. Daddy is racing tomorrow so I am going to go and stand in the mud with my winter hat, gloves and cowbell and root Daddy on.

Bye for now...Mason

Busy busy weekend again..but what else is new, right?

I am still on the internet. Daddy has finally given me time on the computer to update my blog. Guess he was tired of me playing with his Iphone all the time? I love "my iphone" because it has all these cool games that Daddy has downloaded for me. So on to what I have been up to.

Just this weekend was super busy. Starting on Friday night, I got to stay over at Hammy and Hoppys house. Mommy and Daddy went up to BlackHawk to have dinner and gamble for a couple of hours after work. They did not win big since they both went back to work today.

Saturday morning we had breakfast and met up with Mommy and Daddy for Daddy's bike race. I cheered him on every lap and he even said hi to me while he was racing a couple of times. He did not win but finished the race without falling down, so that is always a good thing. After the race we went to Tiny Town. I had so much fun and ran around. We rode the coal engine train called .... They also had a diesel engine but I wanted to smell the smoke of the coal and hear the really cool steam wistle instead. It went around the entire area and there are small houses that you can look into and climb inside of them.

Then later that night, we went to the roller derby. The Rocky Mountain Rollergirls were skating and we went with a bunch of Mommy and Daddy's friends. It was at this place that had putt putt golf, a foam ball shooting range, video games and all kinds of other stuff.

Daddy was watching me and he put me on the Dance Dance Revolution game and he turned around to see the score and I was gone. Gone as in, look at me run away gone. Gone as in, Daddy cant find me and we are playing hide and seek but I forgot to tell Daddy gone. Gone that Daddy "freaked out", got Mommy and had them lock the entire place down so I could not escape through the doors gone. Gone that some of Mommy and Daddy's friends found me over by the putt putt area and I did not even know that I was gone. I thought we were just playing a game!!! Needless to say, Mommy was not happy with Daddy and Daddy has a new found respect for how fast I can run....you can not catch me old man!!!

Sunday was another busy and super fun day. Daddy went to cyclocross practice early. Mommy and I ran errands, got some Starbucks chai tea and then went for my first pony ride. We went over to the Cherry Creek horse stables and I rode Dolly around for about 15 minutes before I was done. Daddy got to lead Dolly and Mommy had to hold me with both hands so I would not fall off. It was alot of fun but we did not get alot of pictures and just a little video.

But going back a couple of weeks we have also been really busy. We went to the Dragon Boat Festival with my buddy Gavin Walsh. Daddy was riding with Gavin's Daddy up in Winter Park that day.

We also went to the Rockies game with Uncle Josh and Deb. We got to ride the train downtown and then back home. I love riding the train around. It is the second best way to travel. The best way is in the trailer behind Daddy's bike.

I will be posting more photo's over the next couple of days. It is getting late and I want to watch Nina and Star on Sprout before I go to bed.

We are on are way home

Hi everyone,
It has been a great week out here in CA. We have been to the beach, had lunch in Laguna Beach, spent a full day at Disneyland. Got my picture taken with Goofy, Pluto and Donald Duck (pics to come later). Spent many days in the pool at Great Aunt Laura's and Great Aunt Peggys. Had lunch at the Stone Brewery World Bistro. Went to Aunt Kristy's reception and played with all of my cousins that live out here in CA - Daniel, Meghan, Gabby, Sarah

My biggest problem that I had this week: they did not pick my name for tickets for the Michael Jackson memorial that is tomorrow. I heard that people were paying big money for these on ebay and craigslist.

We got to go to In and Out a couple of times. Had really good BBQ at Aunt Kristy's party. Played in the sand at the beach, locked Great Grandma out of her house and had to call a locksmith to let us back in. Mommy and Daddy both bought new camera's on this trip.

So later today we get back on the plane and fly home. I miss my doggies, Nana, Hammie and Poppie and sleeping in my own bed.

Will update with pics and movies later in the week

Bye for now

It's official.....I'm now old

I just had to buy a ticket to fly to CA. No more flying on the cheap fo me unless Mommy is a better liar than Daddy is

Off on another vacation

It has been a while since the old man has let me on the computer. We have been so busy with stuff here at home that I had compeletly forgotten that I even had a blog.

We are on are way to CA tonight. We get in around 9ish tonight and will be staying at Great Grandma Bradys for the next couple of days. Disneyland, the beach, In and Out and where else Mom and Dad are going to drag me to. Then it is off to San Diego for a couple of days.

It has been really busy since my last post. The house is up for sale. Had a contract on it but then the people that wanted to buy it were just making too many demands and Mom and Dad said "enough" and pulled the contract.

I have been going to the zoo alot, going with Mommy and the dogs to the dog park to run and play. Riding with Daddy to get breakfast burritos and waffles on Saturdays. Hanging with Nana during the week and helping her with her charity stuff. Hopa, that is Grandpa Brady, took some really cool pics of me doing yoga for a magazine. Poppie and Grammy are in Las Vegas winning big. Grammy won $200 dollars playing penny slots and took everyone out for 99 cent hotdogs.

Well, that is it for now. Heading to the airport with my Thomas the Train backpack, Daddy's Iphone and my passport. See most of you in a couple of hours.

WOW...what a weekend

Well it is Monday and let me tell you...the weekend was a blast down here. There were parties until late into the morning, riding a donkey through the bar while having a drink, heading out to the casino for some gambling and eating off of the street while dodging traffic trying to walk on the cobbled streets down here......and I was not part of any of that. I was in bed everynight around 930.

Friday was more of a down day. Mommy got to be a dolphin trainter for a day. We took her out to Nuevo Vallarta and she got to play with them all day. She got to swim with them, teach them how to do stuff, learned about thier biology. She also got to hang out with the sealions. She got a shirt, a hat, a dvd, some pictures and even was able to bring me in and let me play with them. I got to throw the ball to them and pet thier nose. Grammy even bought me a little stuffed dolphin and t-shirt. Now I run around the house and say "olphin, olphin" all day long.

On Saturday, we just walked down to the beach and hung out. I finally wanted to go out and play in the waves. They are alot bigger down here than they were in Puerto Rico though. I ran around and played in the sand, walked through everyone's tables and just had a good time. I took a nap as we drove out to the river and had dinner. It is in a little down called Desembocada and is about 10kms from PV. We had shrimp, chicken and fish. We watched the cow's walk through the river, I chased the chickens around the front of the restuarant and listened to some really bad music from some local guy. That night we watched the fireworks from Grammy and Poppy's balcony.

Sunday was another adventure. We had breakfast here in the house and then loaded up the car and drove about 1 hour north of PV and went to a town called Rincon de Guayabitos. The beach there was really fun. There was not as much surf break so I really played in the water. I did not want to come out. Once Mommy and Daddy pulled me out, I ran on the beach and laid in the sand. After that we went and had lunch. The restaurant there had a huge pyramid in a fountain with coy fish and a turtle. I had never seen those type of fish before. For dinner we just had leftovers from the week.

Only 2 days left before I come home. So far, being away from home is not that big of a deal but at times I do miss my doggies.

Once I get home, I will post some of the movies. Poppy's internet is not always fast so it has been a problem. Mexican technology issues will not keep me down though.

Bye for now.

Sailing, sailing, sailing the ocean blue

Hi everyone. It has been another exciting day down in Mexico. Grammy and Poppie were going to take us up to the mountains to a town called Rincon....hey, haven't I been there before? They have a really nice market and place to have lunch before we go to the beach and swim in the afternoon. But during breakfast, Poppy got a call and our plans changed. Instead we are going sailing today.

We pack up our day bags and walk down to the bus stop. Many buses come by us but none of them are the right ones. Down here, they paint the stops of where the buses go on the front window. One finally comes by that will take us out to the marina, which is on the other side of town from where we are. I get to ride the bus for free but everyone else has to pay 5 pesoes...about 30 cents US. They should really charge more than that. These buses have the worse suspension in the world!!! It feels like they have square wheels on them and the muffler vents right into windows. As things go, I fall asleep on the bus and wake up some place else.

I wake up in the bottom of this deep cave like place. I roll out of bed and there is a big ladder leading up to the top. I get half way up with Daddy picks me up and I am on the boat and we are leaving the marina. Poppy's friend, Dorr, has a 32 foot sailboat the Poppy races on each week. They have been racing together for the past couple of years and have won every race they have entered this year.

Once outside of the marina, we set the mainsail and raise the jib and we are off. Cruising around 6 knots, that is about 6.3 mph and having a fun time. Poppy even let me drive the boat.

We had a great day of sailing. We were out for almost 3 hours. I ran all over the boat, up and down the ladder to the hull where the galley, sleeping area's and extra sails are kept. We got to see all of PV since we sailed to the south and then game back up with the wind where we really picked up alot of speed.

We also also saw a sea turtle and lot's of pelicans. I did get to see the water splashing around from where the humpback whale had jumped out of the water. Poppy spotted it and Daddy saw it but I did not...boooooo

Hope to update my page again later today with what Mommy did all day on Friday.

Bye for now.

Street Meat - day 2

Here is a typical day for us down with Grammy and Poppy. We get up in the morning and watch some "american" tv shows.

We get dressed and walk down to Peter and Carmen's taco stand. It is close to where Grammy and Poppy used to live. Now it is about a 10 block walk. The little old lady working the stand, is Carmen. Peter was her husband and he passed away a couple of years ago.

You tell Carmen what you would like to eat and she pulls all of the stuff from the right and throws it on the grill and starts her magic. Each day we get a breakfast burrito with eggs, chirizo, onions, cilantro and beans for Daddy. His burrito costs alot, 40 pesoes. Mommy get's a pollo quesidilla and I get a plain cheese quesidilla, each are 18 pesoes. Mmmmm good stuff.

After breakfest on the way to the beach, we stop by the juice man stand. He presses oranges, carrots, beets, pineapple and grapefruit. He might of invented the first juice box. He pours my drink into a bag with a straw and then ties it up for me. This is really good stuff. Nothing like fresh juice every morning for 10 pesoes. That is about 75 cents or so.

For lunch we either eat at the beach and get some BBQ'ed shrimp or chicken on a stick that they walk around with or we walk to the lunch time taco stand called Marisca's. They only do seafood tacos. This up is a bit more upscale. You actually sit down, order your food from the menu on the wall and they bring it to you. Here each taco has some cabbage, carrots and then fish or shrimp. These are really good only cost 13 pesoes each..that is less than a dollar. Goodbye McDonalds menu...hello fish tacos.

I then come home and take a quick siesta. Mommy takes a siesta with me also. We get up and we deciede what to do for the rest of the night. We usually go across this really scary suspension bridge. Daddy has a movie of this that I will put up later. Then we walk down the river walk area with lot's of shops and everyone is always trying to sell us something. We get down to the Malacon where Grammy and Poppy know everyone and we walk from one end to the other. Once it is dark, we walk back to the church that is close to the house where the churro man is.

The churro man is great. He has built this custom machine that pushes the dough out like a chaulking gun, then cuts it into the hot oil. Then he picks them up and throws them in the brown sugar container and shakes them up. We then get the grande bag and walk home to have these for a snack. The grande bag only costs 20 pesoes. A big bottle of milk caps off the night.

This is just a fun day being in a new country. Will try to update again tomorrow with our day on the sailboat and Mommy's day as a dolphin trainer.

Adios amigo's

My first day outside the US of A

Hi everyone....I have now spent my first day outside the good ol USA. I am now only about 400 days behind Cousin Brian over in the Ukraine.

So it was an early day yesterday. Mom got me up and dressed before 7am....that is way early for me. Nana took us out to the airport and we checked in with my shiney new passport. We got some breakfast at McDonalds and headed for the plane. We had to wait a little while and then we were off. They provided us with free TV on the plane so I got to watch Nick Jr for a while. Dad took a quick nap, Mom took a quick nap but I didn't. I just pulled down all of the trays and played them like drums for the last hour of the flight. I know that the people in front of me loved it!!!

So once we landed we stood in line and a nice man asked me how long I was going to be here and stamped my passport...it was official. Grammy and Poppy picked us up at the airport and I gave them a big hug since I had not seen them in almost 2 months. We got in thier car and I promptly fell asleep. 2 hours later, I ended up in at Grammy's house. This seems to happen to me all the time. I fall asleep and end up some place that I have never been before. The worst part of this was everyone had eaten except me. They all had ribs and fries and I got chips and mac and cheese...I feel jipped at this point.

After eating, we went down to the beach so Grammy and Poppy "could show me off" to all of thier friends down here. They seem to know everyone or everyone know's them. It was nice to be back at the beach. The water was kind of cold but the sand was fun to walk in again like I did in Rincon.

I dont know what we are going to do today....maybe just hang out at the beach and have fun. I will try to update on things that we are doing. I made sure that Daddy brought the flip video camera so I can take some movies also.

Bye for now

Getting ready to travel is hard these days

So our vacation is quickly approaching. I love to have my picture taken but not when it comes to my passport photo. Mom and Dad have tried since December to get the right picture taken. We have gone to the Kinko's about 6 times and each time we think we have a good picture, it is not acceptable by the post office. Too big, shadows around my head, too small, not within the size range. After a while, Mom and Dad just gave up.

Time was running out and I still dont have the right picture for my passport. I finally decieded to cooperate and got a couple of good pics taken at Wolf Camera. We then had to schedule a meeting at the local passport office. We were outside of the timeframe of sending it in. So Mom makes the phone call and we head over there.

This place was locked down like Fort Knox. There were 3 men there wearing uniforms and carrying guns. We had to take off our coats and shoes, pass through the metal detectors, have everything go through the x-ray machine. The staples in my head did not even make the machine go off. They also let me keep my sippy cup with my coffee drink but Mom and Dad have to leave thier coffee's at the door and pick them up after we were done.

We then talked to a lady that who took all of my information. She took my pictures, birth certificate and alot of Mommy's money and told us to come back in 3 days. She gave a reciept and told us when we could pick up my passport. Dad went back over 3 days later and picked it up. He got to sign for me and brought it home.

I am now ready to head to Mexico, my first international trip. It wont be my longest flight though. The trip we took to Puerto Rico was longer. I do know some Spanish. I watch Handy Manny everyday.

So I have been practicing my swimming in the bathtub. I have not been able to get over to Grandma and Grandpa's to use thier pool so I have had to make do with what we have here.

Bye for now...will try to update again after the weekend. Lot's of fun stuff coming up.....also, our house is now on the market. Let's hope we can move fast...I need a bigger pool!!!

WOW...it has been a while huh?

Hi everyone...after last weeks fall down and staples, I am ready to go again and start with some things that I have been up to. This is the first of many updates that I will try to get to this week. Daddy has finally let me have some free time on the computer.

First....I am now 2!!!! I had this great birthday party at Little Monkey Business down in Lone Tree. We had a great time jumping around, rolling pillows, painting, eating and opening lot's of presents that I got. Grammy and Poppy were home from Mexico for my birthday this year. My gifts were great. I got a bunch of Thomas the Train stuff, some firetrucks, some t-shirts, indoor soccer goal, a bowling game. Mom and Dad got me a bouncy house that inflates in 30 seconds outside or inside.

This video is from me at my birthday party running around. I really like going to this place.

Here is one more video of me playing in my very own bouncy house. I like it alot and wish that it could stay up everyday but since Mommy and Daddy are trying to sell the house it can only be up at certain times.

Breaking news....check me out!!

So Mom had to write this up for me today since I really dont feel like typing right now....I will try to do a full update in the next week or so.

Around 9:00 am this morning Mason was running around the house, tripped, and bumped his head. He ended up with a nice little gash on the back of his head top left. My Mom and I took him to the doctors office. On the way there he slept and I tried to wake him up. We got concerned that he might have a concousion since he wouldn’t wake up much. When we got into a room at the doctors office he promptly woke up and talked about the ball he saw in a picture on the wall. The nurse came in and cleaned his wound. Mason didn’t even seem bothered by the cleaning. Then he played in the room while we waited for the doctor. The doctor came in and said that he would need staples and suggested that he get a litacain shot first to numb the area for the staples. The doctor gave Mason a lollipop. A nurse held his head still. While Mason sucked and chewed on his lollipop the doctor gave him the shot of litacain. Mason didn’t cry, he paused for a moment and then went back to eating his lollipop. Then the doctor started stapling Mason’s wound. Again, Mason didn’t cry and didn’t even wince! He just worked on his lollipop. Two of the staples didn’t go in all the way so the doctor had to pull them out. Still Mason didn’t wince or cry. The staff was amazed. They said this was not normal, that Mason was an atypical child in a good way. When Mason had to put the toys back that he was playing with, well that is when he cried. He wanted to stay there and play.

Below are pictures of today’s event.
