Merry Christmas!!!

Well, today I celebrated my first christmas. We slept in and then came out to the tree. There was this really big horse in front of the tree. Wow!!! I love this day already.

It is black, it rocks and when you push the button on it's ear, it makes horse noises and it's head and tail move up and down and back and forth....if this is my first present, what are the rest going to be????

I also got a bunch of clothes from my cousins Jay Jay and Timmy. They live in San Diego. I now have my own phone and remote control so I wont be stealing Daddy's any longer. I also got a Leap Frog Fridge DJ, a Leap Frog barnyard animal magnet set. Mommies friend Mary and Todd from Green Bay sent some plates, sippy cups and a donut tree with rings that I can throw around.

Since we got about 6 inches of snow, we did not get to Grandma and Gramdpa's house today. So we will celebrate Christmas with them and all my aunts, uncles and cousins on Saturday.

Mom got this really cool milk frother so she can make Latte's at home instead of Starbucks. She also got some coupons for pedicures. Daddy is finally going to get his windows tinted. I am glad also since we take his car alot and the sun is always in my face.

Merry Christmas, a little early

It is my first Christmas, so Mom and Dad took me to the mall and plopped me on the lap of some guy wearing a red outfit that I had never seen before. He seemed happy to see me, knew my name and took a picture with me. Don't know what this is all about, but I liked it!! He asked me what I wanted for Christmas and told me to be good.....when am I never not good????

We are off to Cynthia's house today for an ornament exchange...again, I have no idea what this is about, but heard Mommy talking about some good food and Dad about drinking some holiday beers with the guys.

Hopefully this weekend after getting some shopping done, Mom and Dad will take me out in my new sled. We have plenty of snow in the backyard and around the neighborhood.

Cousin Brian is having his garage sale today at our house. The temp at 9.am was 16 degrees but with the slight wind it was more like 7 degrees. That is way too cold for me to hang outside with him!!! He has had some people come by and buy some of his stuff. He is getting ready to go back to CA and then to the Ukraine for 2+ years, since he has joined the Peace Corps. Maybe I can visit him while he is there? Where is the Ukraine anyway?

Some pics from the last couple of weeks

Just a couple of quick pics.

Here is a pic of all of us from one of Daddy's cyclocross race. He fell down a couple of times in the mud that day. I cheered for him everytime he came up the hill towards us.

Here is a pic of Mommy and me at the Parade of Lights. It was really, really cold that night. We had milk steamers at Starbucks, rode the Light Rail downtown for the parade and hung out with some friends of Mom and Dads.

Here is one other pic of me standing in my crib. I was about to get my clothes changed so all I am wearing is my diaper!!!!!

Sometime this week, I will be getting my picture taken with Santa, do some christmas shopping and might be able to take the my new sled out and play in the snow.

Some more pics of me at Thanksgiving

Here are some pics of me that Grandpa took on Saturday at thier house. Mommy bought this push car for me a while ago. I can now walk all over the house and outside with it. It can also be converted to a buggy that I can sit on and push around like a car.

This is me and Partner walking towards Grandpa in thier front room

Check me out...I can push this all over the house!!!

This chair keeps getting in my way...this looks just like the one that I have in my bedroom?

Check out my cool corduroy suit!!!

Hey, who is making noise over there?

I'm walkin, yes indeed, I'm walkin....

Halloween - I know, it is kinda late at this point

Halloween, I don’t understand the whole thing. You get dressed up and people give you candy and food. Sounds like a good time to me.

So my first Halloween, my granny Linda, made my costume. I was Curious George. Dad decided that was a good costume for me. Mommy had found a pumpkin costume but was out voted by Dad.

At Dad’s office, they have a kids parade around the building. We walked all 3 floors of the building and brought home a whole bunch of candy, and I never got any of it. I only was able to eat the Teddy Grahams and sucked on a packet of Smarties. All the rest of my haul just disappeared – Mom and Dad must have eaten it.

That night, Poppie and Grammy came over and we handed out some more candy to other kids that came by the house. Not many kids came by because it was cold out but there were all kinds of costumes: Princesses, Santa and his elves, pirates and skeletons but I did not see any other monkeys like me………

My fourth trip to CA this year - on a somber note

Well, it has been a while since I have had time to update my blog. One would think that at only 10 months, I would have lot's of time on my hands to do this but that is not the case. I am busy little guy.

Around the third week of October after watching Uncle Brian, Uncle Ron and daddy get done racing cross up in Westminster, Mommy called and told us that great grandpa Leonard had passed away. I was able to meet him a couple of times before he passed. Here is a pic of us at his house back in March. He was a big baseball fan and loved to be with his kids and grandkids and great grandkids.

We flew out on a Wednesday morning to CA, cousin Brian was with us also and we were there for a full week. I got to see all my great aunts and uncles and cousins. I always seem to be the center of attention when I am there, so I must be popular?

He had a full military funeral with an honor gaurd, taps and a 21 gun salute. He was a B-29 pilot in WWII. There was alot of crying and remembering by everyone. He will be missed by mommy and daddy.

We did go down to San Diego and see cousin Leanne and Jay and the boys. We went to this really cool resturant called Stone World Bistro. We had lunch with them and Ryan, Shannon, Aunt Peggy, Sara, Uncle Dan. They have really good food and their beer is made in house. They have a great park area, a pond with ducks and a firepit inside a water fountain.

We then went to Disneyland with Leanne, Jay, the boys, Aunt Michelle, Great Aunt Patty and Dan Jr. We rode the Buzz Lightyear ride, Dumbo's elephants, Mr Toad's Wildride, The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Carribean and a bunch more that I slept through. Mommy, Daddy and I also got our pictures taken with Pooh, Tiggerr and Eyeore.

We had a really good time and were there all day and all night. I want to go back and get my picture taken with Micky and Minnie Mouse because I was already asleep when they were out walking around.

We did get to walk at the beach a little bit. Had dinner at The Brussells Bristro, Los Brisas and Dad's favorite, In and Out Burger.

Great Grandma might be coming out after Christmas also. It will be good for her to be in Colorado and seeing all of the other family that was not able to get out for the funeral.

When we finally got back home, the Rockies had lost the World Series, the Bronco's lost in overtime to the Packers and Halloween is just around the corner.

9 Month Check Up

I went to the doctors on Oct 2 for my 9 month check up. The doctor said that I am very healthy and in some cases I am a head of schedule on my motor skills. My head and heigth are getting more into the average range, but my weight is still at the low end, but the doctor said not to worry since I am still on the charts. I am now 27-3/4 inches tall and I weigh 17 pounds. I am just a tall and lean baby. I guess I might grow up to be built like my uncle Marc and Poppie.

P.S. My new baby brother or sister is doing good too. Mommy went to the doctor for a 7 wk and again for a 9 wk ultrasound check up and my little sibling is looking good. Mommy is feeling pretty good too. Too bad I don't let her nap after work like she got to do when she was pregnant with me.

Back to my normal life

Well, I have survived my second trip to Vegas and my first bike show. We stayed at the Venetian with Cynthia, Ron, Laurie and Brian. We would get up each morning, have breakfast then walk the bike show for a couple of hours. All of Dad's friends were happy to see me there. Then I would go to the pool with Mommy, Cynthia and Laurie for the afternoon before meeting back up with the guys.

We walked around the hotel one afternoon. The Grand Canal shops are really expensive. They have some cool stuff but not for me. I did get my picture taken with the a couple of the guys from The Blue Man Group. They look different from me though?

So the last day at the show, I found a new pair of shoes. They were a little big but I know that I can grow in to them. Around my neck is my first badge for the trade show. Each person is supposed to have one. I saw other babies and young kids with no badge. Maybe they just told thier parents "we dont need no stinkin badges!!!" but I wanted to have one.

We will be home for a while now. Dad only has cross races until mid December, all around town. Mommy and Aunt Kristy are trying to plan thier girls trip, I just dont know if I will be going on that one. Grammy and Poppie will be home until after Thanksgiving before they leave and go back to Mexico. Grandma and Grandpa just got home from Hawaii. Grandma broke her ankle while on thier cruise in Greece and had to have surgery in Turkey with plates and pins.
Granny will keep coming to the house Monday through Friday to watch over me and she takes me all over town while we run her errands.

Mason on the Sluts and Mutts Camping trip

I went on my third camping trip in Twin Peaks up near Leadville the weekend after Labor Day. I got a free pass to join the Sluts and Mutts annual camping trip this year. This is traditionally a camping trip of just Mommy's girlfriends and their dogs. We camped with sluts Cheryl, Danelle, Tabitha, Kelly, and Jennefer and the eight mutts.
On Saturday Danelle, Tabitha, Mommy, Keaira and Johan (my dogs) and Belgium (Tabitha's dog) and I went for a 3 hour hike outside of Twin Lakes. Mommy's shoulders hurt so Danelle carried me for most of the hike. Thanks Danelle! I loved the free ride!!!
It was cold up at camp at night. Below is a picture of me keeping warm next to Johan for a quick snooze in the tent.

On our way home Danelle, Mommy, and I walked around Leadville. It's a really old town 10,000 feet above sea level. I got a free ride around town and Mommy got some homemade fudge.

Viva Las Vegas - where's the Craps table at Dad?

Well, I am on the move again. Mom and Dad are taking me to Sin City this week for the annual pilgremege to the bike show. I will be out seeking autographs from all the great cycling stars past and present. Maybe even getting my picture taken with some pretty girls while I am there.

We leave on Wednesday morning and come back on Friday night. We are staying at the Venetian, which is also where the bike show is. I will be hanging out with Mom by the pool and with Dad at the show and then hitting town with Uncle Brian and Uncle Dash. Maybe we can even get into Ghost Bar at the Palms and see Brittany dance and lip sync? I will be updating the site with pics and stories every day that we are there so check back often.

Stuff that I have done this summer

While I wait for mom to give me the write up for the camping trip, I thought I would highlight everything that I have done this summer. First, we bought a summer pass to the zoo. Mom likes seeing the gorillas and dad likes the elephants. Here is a pic of all of us out in front of the zoo.

Here I am with my friend Gavin. I am two months older than him but he is bigger than I am. This is at the City Park Jazz Festival. It is also really close to the zoo. We only went a couple of time this year though.

Then we went to a bunch of sporting events this year. The first was a Colorado Rockies game. We had really good seats, about 20 rows behind home plate in the lower bowl. We won that game 5-3 against the San Diego Padres. The pitcher struck out 7 batters so we got free drinks from Circle K that next day.

We then were off to the pitch to see the Colorado Rapids play a couple of "football" games. The first game was against New York RedBull and we lost 1-0. The next game was much more fun. It was the SuperLiga match between 2 Mexican First Division teams, Pachuca and CD Guadalajara. Chivas, which is what Guadalajara's nicknames, is one of dad's favorite teams. We have matching jerseys and I really want to have one of these cool masks from the guy sitting behind us. Do they make these in my size?

Then at the end of July, we went to the Dragon Boat races over by Sloans Lake. They were kinda cool and the food was really good. Mom got me this really cool hat that I can were when I am out in the yard with everyone.

We have also gone swimming abunch of times. I have been in the Pacific ocean twice, swam at the Red Rocks Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs in the Collegiate Peaks and over at Cynthia's pool.

First post for the world to see

Hello everyone. Here is the first post of my new blog page. Since I am always on the go with mom and dad, I thought it would be a good idea that everyone knew where I have been.

So last week was my third trip to CA, this year. My first one was back in March to meet the family. The second one was to see great grandpa since his health was not doing very well. And this last one was more for mommy than me. Her friend Kirsten was having a reception for thier wedding. This time we flew to San Jose and drove up to Sacramento. We camped out one night and then went to Petaluma and stayed with some other friends of mommies.

Monday we drove down to San Francisco and watched the harbor seals make noise.

Mom then found Mason street and took my picture under the sign. Who knew that they have already named a street after me?

This weekend I am going on the girls camping trip with mommy and the dogs. It is called the sluts, mutts and baby butts (that is for me) trip. We are going to camp for a couple of nights in the Twin Peaks area, which is just south of Leadville.

Dad is staying at home again this weekend. He has alot of yard work to do for the end of summer BBQ and has cross practice again before the race season starts. His first race is next Saturday down in Colorado Springs and then Sunday in Littleton. I will go and cheer him on for the Sunday race.
