Prosh-chavay, Cousin Brian

Cousin Brian has started the biggest adventure of his life. He is now in Philadelphia, eating cheese steak sandwich's from Pats, running stairs at the Art Museum like Rocky and trying to steal the Declaration of Independence like Nicholas Cage in American Treasure. He is there for a couple days before heading to Munich then to Kiev, Ukraine.

Brian has joined the Peace Corps and will be in and around Kiev for the next 3 years. He is really excited about going and should have a great time. He will be able to travel around the area and all over Eastern Europe. He will be taking language and orientation classes for about 3 months and then will be unleashed on the people of the Ukraine.

His US dollar will go kinda far there to...the exchange rate of $1 USD to a Ukrainian Hryvnia is 4.90. Hope he can find some cool stuff to bring home for me!! Here is a great website to know everything about the Ukraine, http://kievukraine.info/reference.htm

Have a great time, Cousin Brian...we will miss you at the Cheeky Monk and late night drinks at Poppies.

Happy Easter everyone

Well, another Easter is upon us. We got up early and went to church at 730am. That way we had a place to sit unlike last year when we had to lean up against the wall for the whole service.

After church we got Mom her Starbucks Chai and came home. Dad made breakfast and we watched Johnnie and Sprites, Monkey Man and Tigger and Pooh.

I got to open my Easter basket. I couldn't have any of the chocolate/peanut butter eggs, those went to Mom. Put there were some little reading books, a yellow chick that chirps and a blue peep that lights up. Then the dogs attacked me and wantd the yellow chick!!

It snowed overnight on the grass, so it will be kinda hard to get to the park today. Hopefully Mom and Dad will take me to the mall to play on the breakfast food

I love a good feast!!!

So when Dad got home from his nightly commute and I woke up from my comfortable 2 hour nap, we headed out for dinner. Tuesday night is 1 dollar, that's right, I said 1 dollar fish taco night at Rubio's. So we headed out in the mommy cruiser minivan and down to grub. Not many places around any longer that you can get a bunch of fish tacos, drinks and churro for under 10 bucks.

I had 2 1/2 pieces of fish, some cabbage and a full churro for dinner. I am so full right now and my little belly is sticking out. I think that I will be sleeping through night tonight.

Other than that, not much going on around here. I am now able to climb onto the coffee table, onto the couch, off the bed and all over the dogs. Keaira is a great play toy for me to walk on and fall on even though Mom and Dad tell me I cant do it.

Right now Mom is watching Dancing with the Stars. I kinda like the show because they play good music at times. I can also dance and spin around. I always stop when Dad wants to take a picture of me though...nobody can capture my dance moves!!!

My new rides

Hi everybody,
Now that day light savings is here, there is more time to play outside with the dogs and have fun with Mom and Dad. Dad got his "fixed gear" bike all decked out with one of my new ride. On this bike, Dad has to pedal all the time so there is no coasting or resting when we go downhill. So it is all setup for me. I have a place for my food, my bottle, I can sleep in it and it has a rain cover to keep me dry. We went for a quick 45 minute ride on Saturday. I do wish that it had some suspension since we go up and down alot of curbs while on the bike path. Dad has his bike decked out with his favorite beer cap and his favorite resturant.

So Mom's new ride is a little better on the amenities side. It has a solid roof, windows that roll down, leather interior throughout, heated seats, stow and go seats and a full on sound system with radio, cassette, cd and mp3 player. We were able to trade in the Volvo and got this one. It is a 2007 Chrysler Town and Country Touring. It has about 19K miles and it spotless. We can take the dogs with us almost anywhere, room for Dad's bike and my wagon when we go to the zoo. I can now see out the windows when we go places. I never knew how much stuff we pass when we drive places.

That's it for now. This week we are off to dinner with friends and I have my friend Gavin's birthday party on Saturday afternoon. He is going to be one year old. I have to find him a really cool present since he got me a cool train set with talking animals.
